I appreciate eating this local Ilonggo dish since it is pretty basic, easy to cook, low in fat, and brimming with real vitamins and supplements. This is normally best being served with rice. I get full after 2 servings – I encourage you to eat more kalabasa (squash).
Here are the ingredients:
2 cups 1-inch cubed kalabasa
1/2 cup 2 1/2 inch pieces sitaw
2- 3 pcs 1/2 inch thick biased okra
4 cups water
1 pc red onion, sliced
50 g swahe, trimmed
Salt & pepper to taste
How to prepare:
Boil the water in a pot.
Add onion. Cook covered for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the string beans, okra and kalabasa. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
Put-in the talbos ng kamote. Stir and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer to a serving bowl.
Serve. Share and enjoy!
