Spanish sardines in a bottle can be utilized in such a large number of ways. Adding it to your favorite pasta dish may give your everyday meal with a different flavor.
Garlic Macaroni Pasta With Spanish Sardines Ingredients:
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup minced garlic
1/4 cup Japanese breadcrumbs
1 bottle bottled Spanish sardines
1/4 cup water (optional)
juice from half a lemon (or to taste)
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
300 grams Macaroni pasta, cooked al dente
How to prepare:
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Then set aside.
In a cooking pan over medium heat, sauté onion, garlic until slightly brown. You may add breadcrumbs and mix. Set aside.
Using the same cooking pan, add spanish sardines. We didn’t add oil since the bottled sardines we bought has corn oil in it.
Cook for about 2-3 minutes. Adding water is optional and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Add butter, lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
Add cooked macaroni and toss until well incorporated.
To serve, top with sardines breadcrumbs mixture.
